Thai Private Business Leader to Invest More in Cambodian Health and Real Estate

BEIJING: Thailand’s largest private company, the Charoen Pokphand Group (CPG), stated its intention to expand its investment in real estate, healthcare and satellite services in Cambodia.

CPG Deputy-General Director, Tse Ping, met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet during the Third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing on October 17, 2023, where he congratulated the new PM on his ascent to power and touted the success of his own company, which is over 100 years old and the largest privately held Royal Warrant holder of the Thai Royal Family. He noted that CPG already invests in livestock farms and real estate in Cambodia and would like to further invest in real estate, health and satellite services.

The Prime Minister welcomed the additional investment and advised Thai companies to coordinate with the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to create new ventures.
