Residents Evacuated Following Floods along Thai Border

BATTAMBANG: Hours of continuous rain on Tuesday afternoon caused heavy flooding to people living in the lowlands along the Thai border.

According to official reports, three districts were affected by the floods, including Kamrieng, Phnom Proek and Sampov Loun, where authorities evacuated people to safer areas as residential streets were completely flooded.

Officials advised those living in flood-prone, low-lying areas to take extra precautions and to keep food and supplies ready to go in the event of an emergency evacuation.
