Banteay Meanchey Officials Asks Thailand’s Cooperation

Banteay Meanchey: Poipet Municipality Governor, Keat Hul has visited the Thai authorities in Sa Kaeo province asking cooperation for the plan of vaccinating Cambodian traders in Rong Klue market. Hul says they are planning to vaccinate Cambodian traders in the market located at Aranyaprathet district to prevent them from getting infected with Covid-19.

Governor Hul has requested the Thai authorities to facilitate the location for the vaccination. Banteay Meanchey and Sa Kaeo are provinces bordering the two countries. Both leaders of the two provinces are set to meet to further discuss the planned vaccination of the Cambodian traders in Thai’s Rong Klue market.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commander of the 5th Army Division Major General Seng Thearin together with Banteay Meanchey’s Commander of the Provincial Gendarmerie Brigadier General Born Bin has checked the stranded Cambodians in the Thai border.

Lt. Gen. Seng Thearin has appealed to the Cambodian people who are temporarily staying near the border to understand the head of the Royal Government as well as all the forces that are implementing measures to prevent the spread of Delta disease. They have distributed food donations to the stranded Cambodian workers waiting for the opening of the border on Friday.
