Newly-Appointed Thai, Cambodian PMs Confident in Their Partnership

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Manet had his first official meeting with new Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin at the Peace Palace today. The two PMs agreed that Cambodian-Thai cooperation will continue to grow and become stronger.

On September 28, Prime Minister Hun Manet extended a warm welcome and congratulations to the Thai PM on his first official visit to Cambodia after assuming his role last month on the same day as the Cambodian PM, August 22.

PM Srettha Thavisin expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality and personally congratulated his Cambodian counterpart.

The two heads of government spoke carefully and cordially about the rich and comprehensive areas of Cambodia-Thailand bilateral cooperation.

The talks focused on key areas ranging from trade, investment, tourism, education, vocational training, diplomacy, business relations, people-to-people contacts, connecting air, rail and road travel, the digital economy, the green economy, immigration, cross-border security and online security.

The two leaders also instructed the relevant ministries and institutions in their own countries to continue discussions and cooperation for the benefit of both parties.
