Swiss Consul General Seeks Cooperation to Keep Swiss guests Safe in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia’s Director-General of the Central Department of Public Order, Lim Phan Phearak, met with a delegation of the Swiss Consulate in Bangkok on September 18 to discuss safety for tourists and Swiss investors.

The Swiss delegation, led by Jacques Edouard Baudevin requested that the Department of Tourism Police help maintain security for tourists as well as Swiss investors who visit or work in Cambodia. Lim Phan Phearak emphasized to the delegation that the tourism police always pays attention to safety and facilitates solving all requests of tourists and investors, especially the Swiss. He promised to continue the cooperation between the Cambodia and the Swiss Consulate General to more effectively serve its citizens.

He added that the Central Department of Public Order, which has the Department of Tourism Police as its staff, stands ready to cooperate in resolving all requests as well as complaints from international tourists and investors at all times.

The Swiss delegation thanked and appreciated the leadership of the Central Department of Public Order and the Department of Tourism Police for their warm welcome and close cooperation with Swiss tourists and investors in Cambodia.
