Property Taxes Due in 11 Days

PHNOM PENH: The General Department of Taxation reminded property owners in Cambodia to fulfill their property tax before the September 30 deadline. The department noted that people only have 11 days to pay tax on their property or unused land before penalties are accrued.

Taxpayers have many options to submit their taxes; they can pay in-person at the General Department of Taxation, the provincial-disctrict tax branch, or at partnered bank branches (ACLEDA, Canadia, Vattanac , Sathapana, Jet Strait, Cambodian Public Bank, Cambodia Post Bank and Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia). Taxes can also be declared through the "GDT Taxpayer App," which can be downloaded from the App Store or Play Store.

The General Department of Taxation warns that any property owner who fails to submit the tax return on time will be subject to administrative penalties in accordance with the tax law in force.
