PM Hun Manet Loses 1.5 kg After ASEAN Summit

Kampong Speu: Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia revealed that he lost 1.5 kg during his participation in the ASEAN Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia. He cited the intense workload during the ASEAN meeting, leaving him with minimal time for rest.

Addressing nearly 20,000 workers in Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province, on the morning of September 9, 2023, Hun Manet emphasized that attending the ASEAN meeting was not merely a matter of appearances.

He stated, "Some may wonder, 'What did Hun Manet and the leaders of each country do at the meeting?' Why did Samdech Techo attend? Just to showcase a nice outfit and take pictures? No! This is more than just a superficial task."

Hun Manet elaborated on the demanding nature of the work in Jakarta, where even a mere 10 minutes had to be meticulously planned to allow for meetings and discussions. He shared that he shed 1.5 kilograms in just four days while attending the ASEAN Summit.

According to the Prime Minister, this dedication to the summit reflects his commitment to three major tasks: diplomacy, bilateral meetings, and political work.
