Em Chan Makara Appointed as Spokesperson for the Ministry of Social Affairs

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Chea Somethy, appointed Secretary of State Em Chan Makara to the role of Chairman of the Spokesperson Group at the Ministry of Social Affairs. He will be responsible for disseminating information related to the minister and the ministry itself.

The appointment was made on September 1 and detailed the responsibilities of the position as coordinating the personal information of the minister and the ministry, communicating with national and international media, coordinating with other ministries, institutions and units with ministry information and researching and compiling all information related to the ministry.

In addition, the spokesperson is responsible for preparing clarifications, press releases, statements and other information for the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation in a timely and efficient manner while ministry’s website and social media platforms.

The budget for the spokesperson will come from the Minister of Social Affairs’ cabinet budget.
