PM Hun Manet Appoints Meas Sophorn as Chairman of the PM's Spokesperson Group

PHNOM PENH: Former Minister of Information spokesperson Meas Sophorn was promoted to Chairman of the Spokespeople for Prime Minister Hun Manet on August 24.

Meas Sophorn will be responsible for coordinating the prime minister's personal information, liaising with national and international media and other institutions for information related to the prime minister, researching and compiling all the prime minister’s information, and preparing and disseminating official press releases and statements.

According to the decision issued on August 24, the Prime Minister's Spokesperson may form a subordinate working group as needed to carry out their duties. The Prime Minister's Spokesperson receives his budget directly from the prime minister’s office.
