PM Hun Manet Sends First Official Letters to Monarchy

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Manet has received dozens of warm wishes from foreign and national dignitaries since his new role was announced in late July. Now that he has officially taken office, his first signature as prime minister went on letters of gratitude to the king and queen mother of Cambodia.

In his first two letters as Prime Minister, Hun Manet thanked the King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Monineath Sihanouk for their consideration and trust in him.

He pledged to work honestly and responsibly to serve the nation, the motherland and the people of Cambodia and to ensure the protection of national independence, national sovereignty and territorial integrity,

He also pledged his loyalty to the throne and promised peace, social stability and continued development. He specifically addressed raising the nation’s living standards and enhancing Cambodia’s prestige on the international stage.
