Outgoing PM Adds Extra Day to 2024 Holiday Calendar

PHNOM PENH: Civil servants and laborers will have an extra day added to their holidays in 2024.

 A sub-decree signed by Prime Minister Hun Sen on August 7 extended the Khmer New Year celebration to four days, increasing the number of government holidays to 22 next year.

The Khmer New Year of the dragon celebrations will officially be held from April 13-16, 2024, when civil servants and workers are to be given the days off.
