PM Removes Title from Telegram Channel Name

PHNOM PENH: Interim Prime Minister Hun Sen changed the name of his Telegram Channel from “Prime Minister Hun Sen” to “Hun Sen of Cambodia” on the night of August 10.

The name change came after he met with cabinet members of the current and future government earlier that day.

Prime Minister Hun Sen took office on January 14, 1985 and would go on to be one of the longest-serving prime ministers in the world. When he officially hands over his title on August 22, he will have been in office for 38 and a half years. His son, Dr. Hun Manet, is due to take over the role on August 22.
