PHNOM PENH: Phnom Penh Municipal Police spokesperson San Sok Seiha said that authorities have arrested 11 Vietnamese men and women in connection with the fatal shooting of a Vietnamese man in Phnom Penh’s BKK3 district on July 29.
Thirty-five-year-old Minh Hung Khuou, a Vietnamese man who had been living in Cambodia, was gunned down on Saturday allegedly following an argument. According to witnesses, a car was moving along Street 163 at the corner of Street 360, when it suddenly stopped. The victim was seen getting out of the car, arguing with someone inside the car and walking away. The car then followed behind and a man got out of the car and fired three shots at the victim as he walked away. Police intervened shortly after and pronounced Minh Hung Khuou dead on the scene.
San Sok Seiha said that he did not yet have a motive for the shooting, but that authorities are questioning 11 Vietnamese nationals.
