Cambodia’s Children’s Hospitals Provide Free Healthcare

PHNOM PENH: Following the National Assembly election, Kantha Bopha Hospital in Phnom Penh and Jayavarman VII Hospital in Siem Reap treated more than one thousand children combined.

According to a message on social media Dr. Beat Richner said that on July 24, the two hospitals treated 1,575 children in the outpatient department, 485 of which were newly admitted patients to the hospital.

A total of 2,129 children are inpatient, while 450 children are being treated in the emergency room and 13 are undergoing emergency surgery.

The doctor also noted that 45 women gave birth on July 24.

All treatments at the hospital were free-of-charge for children and provided without discrimination. The hospital also thanked the hospital guards who worked tirelessly over the weekend.
