PM advice to delete his TikTok fake account

Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, has requested the immediate deletion of TikTok accounts that use his name in order to avoid confusion among people who have difficulty identifying the official and authentic account.

The PM released a voice message on the Telegram channel on the morning of July 7, 2023, instructing his assistant to collaborate with TikTok in removing fake accounts. He emphasized that any TikTok account using his name must be deleted or have its name changed upon hearing the voice message.

He further emphasized that if the account holders refuse to comply with the deletion or name change, necessary actions will be taken.

"I want to ensure that the TikTok account named 'Samdech Techo Hun Sen' is the only one associated with me. I do not need a fan account, not even 'Samdech Hun Sen Fan," he stated.

The Prime Minister also became aware that since he announced the search for TikTok account holders with a substantial following to assist him, many account holders have changed their names to 'Samdech Hun Sen.' Such actions are unacceptable to him.
