CSX Announces Listing of MJQ Education for Trading

Phnom Penh: CSX, the Cambodian Securities Exchange, has officially announced that MJQ Education, with the stock symbol "MJQE," will be listed and available for trading on the exchange starting from June 28, 2023. This move marks a significant milestone for MJQ Education as it transitions from a private limited company to a public limited company.

MJQ Education, incorporated on September 5, 2012, under the Law on Commercial Enterprises of Cambodia, has successfully obtained approvals from the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and the General Department of Taxation (GDT) for the change in its legal form. On April 25, 2018, the company's amended Memorandum of Association (MOA) was stamped by the MOC, solidifying its transformation into a public limited company.

Renowned as one of Cambodia's leading private education institutions, MJQ Education offers comprehensive educational services that encompass preschool and grade 12 programs under AIS (American Intercon School), language courses in English, Chinese, and Thai, specialized training, and teacher training through Aii (American Intercon Institute). In addition, the company provides support services for overseas studies through its SOGO program and online learning through i-Learn.

The roots of MJQ Education can be traced back to 2005 when it opened its first campus for Aii on January 21 and subsequently established AIS on October 10 of the same year. Since its inception, the company has experienced remarkable growth. From a modest beginning with just one school building, five staff members, and four students, MJQ Education has expanded to 15 campuses, comprising 22 school buildings, with nearly 20,000 enrollments, over 2,000 teachers and staff, and a vast network of more than 50,000 alumni.

What sets MJQ Education apart from its competitors is its unwavering commitment to providing quality education, high-standard supporting services, and state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities. The company's longstanding reputation further strengthens its position in the education sector.

With its listing on CSX, MJQ Education aims to tap into the capital market to support its future expansion plans and enhance its educational offerings. The public listing will provide an opportunity for investors to participate in the growth of this esteemed institution and contribute to the advancement of education in Cambodia.

As MJQ Education begins its journey as a publicly listed company, it looks forward to continued success, further development, and making a lasting impact on the education landscape in Cambodia and beyond.
