Owner of the Manhattan Economic Zone in Svay Rieng Wants To Turn the Area Into A Green Industrial Zone

Svay Rieng: The owner of the Manhattan Economic Zone project in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, is determined to transform the area into an environmentally friendly industrial zone and construct affordable housing units for local residents.

The owner of the Manhattan Economic Zone has reassured Prime Minister Hun Sen that their future plans involve converting the zone into a green industrial area, alongside the construction of affordable housing. They intend to commence with 400 housing units in the first year, followed by an additional 1,000 units per year in subsequent years.

Prime Minister Hun Sen shared this announcement during a gathering with over 20,000 workers at the Svay Rieng Special Economic Zone on the morning of June 25, 2023.
