Phnom Penh The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has announced that all food businesses in the capital are allowed to resume dine-in service, provided that they follow the regulations to avoid the further spread of Covid-19, especially the Delta variant.

In Phnom Penh, all markets, restaurants, canteens, food stalls, cafes and other food and beverage businesses that serve tables, can operate normally but must maintain a 1.5-metre radius between each customer and have proper ventilation. Full capacity is also not allowed. Customers must also have temperatures checked, use the Stop Covid QR code and have access to hand sanitizer.

While the ban on dining-in has been lifted, the ban on alcohol sales has not, so no alcoholic drinks can be served to customers at all until at least Friday 13 August, when the 14-day campaign ends. Food business owners are also reminded that the 9pm-3am curfew is still in effect.

Tuesday’s announcement affects businesses in Phnom Penh only. There has been no change announced to the ban on dining-in at restaurants in other parts of the country.
