PM Instructs Officials to Continue Working During and After Elections

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen confirmed that his government will continue working until a new government is formed during the upcoming general election. He reminded local officials of the sixth mandate to continue their work until a new government is elected.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the meeting to review the work of the 6th mandated government on the afternoon of June 19, the PM said that even after the election, the old government will remain in control until a new government is formed.

The PM confirmed that he will visit the people until the start of the election campaign season. He will then continue visits three days after, in an effort to uphold Cambodian election law.
