PM Welcomes Former Candlelight Party Candidate Kung Raiya to CPP

PHNOM PENH: The President of the Cambodian People's Party and the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, warmly welcomed Kung Raiya,a former Candlelight Party candidate, to the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

The Prime Minister confirmed the new member through his Telegram Channel on June 16, writing, "On behalf of the Cambodian People's Party, I warmly welcome Kung Raiya to join in politics with the Cambodian People's Party."

In the same post, he attached a video and a letter from Kung Raiya, asking to join the CPP. Kung Raiya said it had become clear to him that the right policy and leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen led the country to peace, where people live harmoniously and the country is prosperous and developed in all areas.

Kung Raiya also mentioned the great merits of the Prime Minister which benefit the motherland and the people of Cambodia, especially his search for peace by ending the war in Cambodia with his Win-Win policy-a historical fact that every Cambodian must remember.
