PM Provides 5 Million Riels to a Family of Twins in Kampong Chhnang

KAMPONG CHHNANG: Prime Minister Hun Sen gave five million Riels to a family who recently had twins during his visit to Kampong Chhnang province this week.

During a meeting with nearly 20,000 garment factory workers in Kampong Chhnang on the morning of June 9, the PM said that yesterday he had received word of the newborns from the governor of Kampong Chhnang the previous day and that this morning he donated the money after learning more about their plight.

"This morning, I received specific information that the children were born prematurely and did not weigh enough. I was told that the children were taken by their father to Phnom Penh and put into incubators," he said.

This is the second day that the PM is speaking to workers in Kampong Chhnang, after meeting with nearly 20,000 people yesterday as well.
