Phnom Penh Reports 8 New Cases of Suspected Delta Variant

Phnom Penh: Eight new suspected cases of the Delta variant of Covid-19 have been discovered in Por Senchey. Phnom Penh authorities made the announcement on Tuesday morning after detecting the cases on Monday night.

The Sub Committee for Covid-19 says five other suspected cases of the Delta variant were discovered the day before in Toul Kork and Russey Keo. Russey Keo’s Street 93 in Sangkat Toul Sangke 1 has been sealed off for the next seven days. Sangkat Boeung Salang’s Village 5 in Toul Kork has been sealed off for 14 days.

Also on Tuesday morning, parts of Street 113 in Boeung Keng Kang 2 have been sealed off. No further details have yet been released.
