Indonesia Sweeping the 12th ASEAN Para Games Medal Tally

PHNOM PENH: There are only three days left of the 2023 Para Games and athletes continue to prove that they are not only capable, they excel in what they do. Indonesia has been leading by a wide margin since the start of the Games. As of the morning of June 6, they have won 151 medals total, 65 of which are gold. Thailand trails behind in second with 104 total medals and 36 gold, overtaking Vietnam who has 94 total medals and 29 gold.

Cambodia has garnered 26 medals so far and all four of their gold have been won in women’s sports, by the wheelchair basketball team, Vet Chanta, who won two gold for the long jump and the 400 meter race and Yin Sot who won the 800 meter race.

Today, athletes will compete to win medals in boccia, track and field, judo, powerlifting, swimming and table tennis. Tomorrow will see the finals for powerlifting and track and field.

Football winners will be determined on Thursday with the final matches played in Blind Football and Football 7-a-Side. The sitting volleyball champions will also be determined that day. The schedule can be found on the 2023 SEA and Para Games website and tickets to the events are free.
