PM: I Cannot Allow People Like Poch to Destroy Me

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen did not accept an apology from Candlelight Party official Chea Poch, and announced that he would not tolerate the opposition member.

PM wrote on his Telegram channel that he, his children and other CPP officials have helped Chea Poch for more than four years, although he did not specify further. He then accused Poch of targeting him for a coup d’état at the behest of “three generations of traitors”, referring to exiled opposition leader Sam Rainsy.

"Think carefully, Poch, because I cannot allow people like you to destroy me on the orders of three generations of traitors," he wrote.

He went on to say that he can accept an apology from anyone, so long as they declare their separation from Sam Rainsy. Once they do so, they will be eligible for a pardon.
