Migrant Workers Urged Not to Force Border Crossing

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Labor has urged the migrant workers currently in Thailand not to pursue with their plans of crossing the borders as Cambodia implements closure. The Ministry has said in a statement that it is only for the safety of these workers why they are currently implementing closure of the borders as well as the safety of the people in Cambodia.

The announcement was made in response to other migrant workers still try to cross borders despite the restrictions to prevent the spread of the Delta variant of Covid-19 cases. It has added, “For workers who suspect that they have a positive Covid-19 or have a mild Covid-19 and do not know which to contact, workers can get advice on the treatment of Covid-19 through a telegram.
