PM Urges Joint Efforts to Develop Agriculture Technology

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen called for joint efforts to promote the modernization of Cambodia's agricultural sector through modern technology.

The PM said that agricultural development is the responsibility of every citizen in the country, not just of the Ministry of Agriculture alone. He did, however, call on the Ministry of Agriculture to study and promote new agricultural techniques and to provide their advances to the people. He also called on the ministry to send agricultural technicians directly to local farms to train farmers in agricultural methods.

He said this at the graduation ceremony for students of the Royal University of Agriculture, Prek Leap National College of Agriculture, and Kampong Cham National School of Agriculture on May 16 at the Koh Pich Exhibition Center.
