PM Hun Sen Becomes the First Leader of Cambodia to Announce the Opening of the SEA Games

Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen has become the first leader in the history of Cambodia to announce the opening of the SEA Games.

During the opening ceremony of the 2023 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games at the Moradok Techo National Stadium on the night of May 5, 2023, PM Hun Sen announced: "I would like to announce the opening of the SEA Games from now on."

Hosting the SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games is a source of pride and prestige for the country and the people of Cambodia, who have been waiting for 64 years.

The SEA Games will be held from May 05-17, 2023 and the ASEAN Para Games will be held from June 3-09, 2023.

The SEA Games has a total of 37 sports in up to 586 disciplines, taking place in Phnom Penh and four provinces, including Sihanoukville, Kep, Kampot and Siem Reap.
