Gen Hun Manet: Peace Transformed Leuk Daek District from a Battlefield to a Developed Area

KANDAL: Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Hun Manet, stated that peace has transformed the Leuk Daek district area from a wartime battlefield to a prosperous development with interconnected infrastructure, roads and bridges.

The general spoke at a ground-breaking ceremony and inauguration of achievements in Wat Botum Vongsa in Kandal on May 3, 2023. During the ceremony, he said the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway project and the new bridge being built across the Mekong River will connect the Leuk Daek district with the surrounding industrial areas, creating more economic and employment opportunities for locals.

He was sure to credit Prime Minister Hun Sen for the accomplishment as an excellent and talented leader who has achieved peace, social stability and development in all areas of the motherland.
