All Pagodas in Phnom Penh Asked to Ring Bells and Drums to Celebrate SEA Games Torch Relay

PHNOM PENH: Phnom Penh Capital Hall has asked the chief inspectors of all pagodas in Phnom Penh to ring bells and drums to celebrate the procession of the SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games torch relay as it passes from Prek Anchanh Market, Bridge 12, Kandal-Phnom Penh Province towards Wat Phnom and until Wat Lanka Preah Kosomaram.

The SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games torch relay is returning to Cambodia after touring nine Southeast Asian countries: Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

The torch will return to Cambodia from Laos on Friday, 28 April 2023, arriving in Stung Treng province. On Saturday, 29 April, the torch will pass through the provinces bordering the Tonle Sap Lake and will then continue on towards Phnom Penh to make it to the Morodok Techo National Stadium in time for the opening ceremony of the SEA Games on 5 March 2023.
