PM: How Can You Claim to Love the Nation When You Cut Ties with Your Own Family?

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has expressed outrage over opposition activist Sorn Dara's announcement that he is cutting all ties with his parents and siblings.

The Prime Minister said that he is used to seeing parents cut ties with their children, but this is the first time he has ever seen a child cut ties with his parents and family.

"Calling this person a 'bad boy' is not enough, calling him a 'bastard' fits him much more," said the Prime Minister, in a message published through his official Telegram channel. "It is no surprise that this bastard tried to attack me or others, because he even dares to insult his own parents!"

"How can this bastard love the nation or its people when he does not even love his parents and siblings?" asked Prime Minister Hun Sen.
