Cambodia’s 2nd Batch of COVAX Doses to Arrive Friday

Phnom Penh: The US Embassy in Cambodia has announced that 500-thousand doses of the Johnson & Johnson single-shot vaccine will arrive in the kingdom on Friday morning. The US Embassy confirmed last week that they will donate one million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine as part of the COVAX initiative. Friday’s first batch of 500-thousand doses. will be followed on Monday by another batch of 500-thousand doses.

Friday’s shipment will be welcomed by government officials as well as representatives of the US Embassy as well as the United Nations.

Just a week ago, Cambodia received over 330,00 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines donated by Japan. Japan has pledged to donate a total of one million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to the kingdom.
