Deputy Governor of Bokor City Summoned to Clarify Domestic Violence Case Involving His Wife

KAMPOT: The Deputy Governor of Bokor City, Kim Panha, was summoned to the Kampot City Inspectorate to clarify a domestic violence case involving his wife. This is according to an announcement made by the Kampot Provincial Commissioner, Mao Chanmathurith, on Tuesday, 25 April 2023.

Deputy Governor Kim Panha's visit to the Kampot City Inspectorate came after the provincial commissioner posted a message on his social media account, writing, "Please invite Kim Panha, Deputy Governor of Bokor City, to come and clarify a case of violence against his wife at the Kampot Provincial Police by himself, or please ensure authorities will bring him to the station directly.”

The provincial commissioner's post was accompanied by a picture of the Bokor City Deputy Governor's wife, who is alleging that her husband has inflicted violence, both physical and psychological, against her.

The victim, Mat Leakena, posted a message on her social media account accusing her husband, Kim Panha, of being violent with her. She added that she had called authorities several times to make her husband sign a contract vowing to stop the violence against her.

Leakena posted this message along with a video of an altercation she had with her husband.
