DPM Sar Kheng Asks Vietnam Police Academy to Continue Training Cambodians

HO CHI MINH: Minister of Interior, Sar Kheng requested that Vietnamese security professionals continue training Cambodian police for the following year. The director of the Vietnam People's Security College, Don Minh Ly, agreed to the proposal in hopes of further strengthening cooperation and encouraging interactions between the two forces.

DPM Sar Kheng made the proposal during a meeting of 241 Cambodian students attending the police academy in Ho Chi Minh City on 24 April 2023. He went on to instruct the Cambodian trainees to strictly adhere to the laws and customs of Vietnam, so that they can study and learn to love and help each other.

Sar Kheng also mentioned the importance of maintaining security and public order to support economic and social development, and mentioned the global challenges related to security issues due to the complexity of digital and transnational crimes. He emphasized that these nuanced crimes are pervasive and occurring every day.

Sar Kheng hopes that Cambodians attending the police academy in Vietnam will make efforts to study hard so that they can use their knowledge to serve the country.
