CPP President Welcomes Hun Kosal to Join the Party

Phnom Penh: The President of the Cambodian People's Party, Hun Sen, announced to welcome Mr. Hun Kosal to join the political life with the Cambodian People's Party after Mr. Hun Kosal released a video thanking and recognizing the value of building peace by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

In the 3-minute and 21-second video, Mr. Hun Kosal thanked and said that after 31 days in prison, he had clearly considered and recognized the heart and the values of PM Hun Sen's leadership.

"After 31 days in prison, I have considered and carefully weighed in on the pious and emotional political path for the Cambodian people, which is why I am grateful to be involved in CPP's politics," he said. Samdech Puk, who built the Cambodian road that the people need the most”.

Prime Minister Hun Sen posted this video on his telegram channel at around 2:40 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2023 with a message welcoming Mr. Hun Kosal to join the Cambodian People's Party.

"On behalf of the Cambodian People's Party, I would like to welcome Hun Kosal to join the political life of the Cambodian People's Party," he wrote.

Hun Kosal is a former former CNRP activist this week who ask to join the CPP after his release from prison.

On April 21, Yim Sinorn, a former CNRP activist in South Korea, ask to join the CPP and was also welcomed by CPP President and asked the King to appoint Yim Sinorn as Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Labor.
