Royal Government Continues to Prioritize Teacher Recruitment and Training

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has said that the Royal Government will continue to give priority to recruiting and training teachers to meet high quality standards.

The Prime Minister made this statement at the closing ceremony of the Conference on Education, Youth and Sports on Wednesday, 12 April 2023 at the National Institute of Technology.

The Prime Minister said that prioritizing teacher recruitment and training includes mobilizing and providing additional resources for the capacity development of teachers, implementing needed school reforms, and promoting overall education development.

He added that the continued prioritization of education will help to enhance the 21st century skills among youth, especially promoting education in science and technology and digital education. The Government is also committed to the school reform and upgrade process, the promotion of health education and the establishment of new higher education institutions as centers for excellence.
