PM Urges for More Attention to Be Given to Processing Raw Materials

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has urged for more focus to be placed on processing raw materials in Cambodia, especially food, in order to serve more exports.

The Prime Minister urged the Ministry of Industry and other relevant departments to work on addressing the lack of skills in this field with the Ministry of Labor, while the government has made a commitment to provide free vocational training to more than 1.5 million poor students in the future.

"In the future, we will provide training to 1.5 million poor students, and we will benefit a lot from this training," he said.

The Prime Minister made this statement at the gathering and solidarity dinner with small and medium enterprises and Cambodian handicrafts businesses on Monday afternoon, 10 April 2023.
