Cambodian Embassy in Thailand Expresses Regret Over Traffic Accident That Killed 8 Cambodians

THAILAND: The Cambodian Embassy in Thailand has issued a condolence message to the families of eight Cambodian workers who died in a traffic accident while on the way to Pattaya, which occurred at 5 am on Saturday, 8 April 2023, in Nong Chang Khok commune, Moeung district, Chonburi Province, Thailand.

According to Thai media, the tragic accident occurred when a bus with a total of 15 passengers (mostly Cambodian workers) crashed into the back of a fully loaded container truck, killing eight at the scene, including a woman who was five months pregnant. The seven survivors were rushed to the hospital.

The Cambodian Embassy in Thailand has said it is deeply saddened and shocked by this news and would like to extend its deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased.

"Please pray for the deceased to rest in peace, and wish for a speedy recovery for the survivors," the Embassy wrote.
