TVK Receives International “Telly Award”

Phnom Penh: National Television of Cambodia, TVK, has won a Bronze Award in the 42nd Telly Awards in the United States for its English-language business news program, “Fortune Moment: All About Money”. The program was co-produced and broadcast by TVK and Fortune Studio. TVK is the largest state-owned television station in the kingdom.

Fortune Studio’s Ms. Jessica Fanh says, “High-quality world-class guests, unique Southeast Asian perspectives, diversified narrative concepts and sophisticated programme production have enabled the show to stand out from the competition and receive international recognition and appreciation”. She pointed out that TVK was the only ASEAN-based winner at this year’s awards.

She added, “Winning the authoritative Telly Award is the result of our concerted efforts with the Ministry of Information. The awarded programme, ‘Fortune Moment: All About Money’ was broadcast on TVK in September 2020. It had an exclusive interview with Mr. Robert Kiyosaki, the world-renowned author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, as well as several successful investors and entrepreneurs in Phnom Penh, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, demonstrating the important role of correct wealth concepts in fighting poverty, creating wealth and their huge economic development potential in Southeast Asia.”

The annual Telly Awards showcase the very best work in television and across video platforms. Since its founding in 1979, it has honoured excellence in local, regional and cable television, with previous winners including the BBC, HBO, Netflix and Al-Jazeera.
