Cambodian Students Develop Prize-Winning Technology at MRC

PHNOM PENH: Three groups of Cambodian students placed first in the river monitoring technology competition at the Mekong River Commission (MRC) on 5 April, earning $ 5,000 per group.

The winning students came from the Cambodian Academy of Digital Technology and the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia.

The Mekong River Monitoring Technology Competition was organized to seek advanced technologies to maintain the river and promote the development of new technologies in the region. Fifteen teams of students from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam participated in the competition.

The Cambodian teams placed first in the development of water level monitors, water quality monitors and rainfall monitors.
