SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Torch Relay Arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games torch relay arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday morning, 6 April 2023.

Secretary of State for the Ministry of Tourism and CAMSOC Special Envoy, Hor Sarun, led the 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Torch Relay delegation to Malaysia and was warmly welcomed by the Cambodian Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouk Chandara, and the Chairman of the Mission and Member of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of Malaysia, Datuk Mohd Nasir.

The torch relay has so far passed through Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Timor-Leste. After Malaysia, the torch will travel through more countries in Southeast Asia (Brunei, Singapore, Thailand and Laos), before arriving back in Cambodia on 27 April 2023.

Upon the torch's arrival in the Kingdom, it will pass around the Tonle Sap Lake before reaching the finish line at Morodok Techo National Stadium on 5 May 2023 for the opening ceremony of the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games.

Only 29 days now remain before the start of the 32nd SEA Games.
