Cambodian PM Arrives Safely in Vientiane

LAOS: Prime Minister Hun Sen and his accompanying high-level delegation arrived safely in Vientiane, Laos at around 10:20 am on Tuesday morning, 4 April 2023.

The Prime Minister is in Laos to attend the 4th Mekong River Commission Summit, held under the theme "Innovation and Cooperation for a Water Secure and Sustainable Mekong", beginning on 5 April.

Senior officials accompanying the Prime Minister to Laos include the Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and Chairman of the Cambodian National Mekong River Commission, Lim Kean Hor, and the Minister of Environment, Say Sam Al, and other senior officials.

The Summit will review the key progress and achievements made by the Mekong River Commission through the promotion of joint efforts and partnerships towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Mekong Basin.

The 4th Mekong River Commission Summit will include discussions on the current challenges in the Mekong Basin and setting the future strategic direction to jointly address these challenges, in order to further promote regional cooperation and partnerships for Mekong sustainability.
