Angkor Wat Ticket Sales Generate Over $11 Million in Three Months

SIEM REAP: Between January and March of 2023, Cambodia earned more than $ 11 million USD from Angkor Wat ticket sales, an increase of more than 1,000% when compared to the same period in 2022.

According to a report released by the Angkor Institute on 1 April 2023, Angkor Wat has sold more than 230,000 admissions since January, totalling $11,135,492 USD. In March alone, ticket sales have generated $3,748,700 USD from the sale of 79,390 tickets to foreigners.

Siem Reap Governor Tea Seiha spoke at a press conference on 29 March saying that tourism numbers in Siem Reap are recovering from the Covid-19 crisis, citing 2.7 million tourists in 2022, of which 290,000 were foreign visitors.
