Japan to Continue Supporting Demining Project

Phnom Penh: Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia Mr. Mikami Masahiro has assured that the Japanese government will continue to support the kingdom’s demining project. This was discussed on Friday evening during the arrival of the Astrazeneca vaccines at the Phnom Penh International Airport. The Prime Minister and Japan’s Ambassador have discussed to strengthen the friendship and the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Japan’s support for the ASEAN Summit which Cambodia would chair next year was also highlighted. Prime Minister has expressed gratitude to Japan for its continuous assistance to Cambodia in different projects including the water project in Siem Reap. Masahiro has also acknowledged Cambodia’s participation in the Tokyo Olypics 2020 which officially kicked off on Friday with three Cambodian athletes have joined the competition.
