Phnom Penh Extends Suspension of High-Risk Businesses

Phnom Penh: The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has decided to continue the closure of high-risk businesses and prohibit gatherings of more than 15 people for a further 14 days effective through Friday 6 August.

The announcement was made late on Friday afternoon with the current administrative measures due to expire at midnight.

The suspension affects all those businesses deemed to be at high risk of spreading Covid-19 that have been closed since early March. These include massage parlours, KTVs, gyms, bars and beer gardens, cinemas, museums, schools and vocational training centres.

Further business closures or suspensions may be announced depending on the pandemic situation in the capital over the coming days and weeks.
