Phnom Penh Sets Restrictions for Construction Sites

Phnom Penh: Phnom Penh Capital Administration has observed series of outbreaks among staff and workers in construction sites described as a “worrying high risk level”. This has prompted Phnom Penh Administration to issue a set of instruction for construction sites to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 in the capital.

The capital’s administration has advised site owners and managers of construction sites to tighten the implementation such as limiting the people gathering, regularly updating the list of telephone numbers and important information of the workers provided to the Department of Land Management and constantly follow the health protocols -"3 Do's and 3 Don’ts.

Construction sites are also required to set up a place to wash hands and supply soap or alcohol. In case of positive case of Covid-19 disease, each construction site owner or construction site manager must properly spray disinfectants before allowing staff and workers back to work. The Phnom Penh Capital Administration encourages site owners or construction site managers who can afford to provide daily accommodation for their staff and workers to easily manage and maintain their well-being. The instruction has also highlighted the availability of Covid-19 Rapid Test kits for faster testing in case of a suspicion.
