Ministry of Health Assures Public About Oxygen Supply

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health has confirmed that Cambodia does have all the oxygen it needs despite the increase in demand due to rising Covid-19 cases. The Ministry’s Secretary of State, Mr. Ngov Kang, says that the Royal Government has ensured an adequate supply of oxygen. He said the gas is extremely important and reduces the risk of the patient’s life.

Mr. Kang has emphasized that even though there are patients who consume a lot of oxygen, Cambodia still has enough supply with various ministries already prepared to make sure there is enough supply every day being sent to different provinces across the country.

Oxygen shortages have plagued some countries in recent months. Most notably was India where hundreds, if not thousands, of patients died of Covid-19 because of a lack of oxygen. An international relief effort was carried out. More recently, Indonesia has reported a shortage of oxygen as well.
