PM: Peace Facilitated Divine Family Reunion

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that peace not only brings people back together, but it also reunites the gods.

At the repatriation ceremony of Khmer artifacts to the Kingdom on Friday morning, 17 March 2023 at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, the Prime Minister remarked that Shiva and his son Ganesh are now reunited in Cambodia, after years of separation due to war.

The Prime Minister stated that the reunion is a result of the peace that Cambodia enjoys today.

"In this day and age, peace is of the utmost importance for both ordinary people and the divine family to be reunited," he said.

The Prime Minister also stated that the government is currently investigating the theft of more cultural artifacts which must be returned to Cambodia.

On the morning of March 17, the Prime Minister payed respect to the reclaimed statues of Shiva, the god of creation, Ganesh, the god of wisdom and Skanda, the god of war.
