One Dead, 10 Injured in Koh Rong Boat Fire

Sihanoukville: Sihanoukville police say one person has been killed and 10 others have been injured after a boat caught fire at sea off Koh Rong. The boat caught fire at about 10:30 on Wednesday morning while en route to Sihanoukville from Koh Rong.

The boat captain says 11 people were onboard, including five women. Police say an oil leak from the engine caused the fire, which prompted passengers to jump overboard. A 50-year-old woman, Hing Sros, drowned. The 10 others were rescued by a nearby speedboat.
