Shrewsbury’s ‘Kiddie Quest’ Was a Big Hit with Parents!

PHNOM PENH: Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh held a two-day event called 'Kiddie Quest: Unlock Your Child’s Potential’ from 25-26 February 2023.

In one of the event’s main activities, attending families and children from the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) placed their hand prints on a large canvas to make a unique mural that will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the foundation.

The children and parents had a chance to check out the smart baby club, which provides a stimulating learning environment for babies to grow up in and play together.

Parents also had full access to all areas of the school and were able to interact with the teachers directly to learn more about the school’s curriculum and teachings.

Speaking with one of the parents in attendance, Mrs Reasey Seng said that she found the equipment and facilities at the school to be very child friendly and suitable.

“We went from one station to another, and we found all the equipment and facilities to be very child friendly, it’s really suitable for the children's [young] age... I think it really benefits child development," she said.

One of the featured aspects of the school that particularly caught her attention was a talent assessment test for children.

"I noticed there was a test [that assessed] your child’s talent… that we could fill up and send to the UK, and they would send it back so we can learn about our child’s level," she said. "This was something I was always looking for because I believe the first one thousand days are very important for child development. I find that this school is something that I’m looking for.”

‘Kiddie Quest’ featured an array of different activities for kids to participate in, and Sunday finished off with a spectacular talent show where 'Baby Shark' definitely seemed to be the favorite song to sing and dance to.

Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh will be holding more big profile events and open houses during the year and welcomes everyone to visit.
