PM Wishes to See Cambodia Become Number One Cashew Exporter in the World

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has spoken of his intention to promote Cambodia to become the number one exporter of processed cashew nuts in the world. Currently Cambodia exports unprocessed cashew nuts and has thus far exported more than one million tons.

The Prime Minister urged to increase the number of local technicians and attract more investors in this field.

"The other day in China, HE Xi Jinping mentioned our cashew nuts during lunch," he said.

"We can contact the processing industry to invest locally.”

Prime Minister Hun Sen made these remarks during the graduation ceremony for students of the National Technical Training Institute in Phnom Penh on Monday morning, 27 February 2023.
